Camera Obscura | Merge Records
Look To The East, Look To The West is the sixth studio album from Scottish indie pop band Camera Obscura. The sound on the Glaswegians latest outing is upbeat and minimal, but also sophisticated and exhilarating. With captivating lyrics of sadness and regret that reflect the loss of former band member Carey Lander, it’s full of nostalgia and is a fitting tribute. Tracyanne Campbell’s vocals are infectious, taking your breath away, and after an 11 year hiatus, though subdued at times - it’s their most evocative and poignant record yet.

Ibibio Sound Machine | Merge Records
English electronic afro-funk band Ibibio Sound Machine introduce Pull The Rope, their well-executed fifth studio album.
