After a 12 year break, world-renowned singer Nina Nastasia returns for her seventh studio album. On her latest record, Nastasia is confident and in control, despite documenting the grief she experienced after her last album. With the narrative arc focusing on reflection and empowerment, Riderless Horse is astonishingly moving.

Ty Segall | Drag City
At just thirty-five years old, garage rocker Ty Segall is already seen as a veteran, as he releases his incredible fourteenth solo album. Recorded at Segall's home studio, “Hello, Hi” is both peculiar and frenzied, with all the charm you would expect. The album has a much calmer focus that his previous entries, but is expertly crafted.

The Sadies | Yep Roc Records
Canadian country band The Sadies eleventh studio album is full of melancholy. The late Dallas Good, founding member of the band stated "Colder Streams is, by far, the best record that has ever been made by anyone. Ever.” Their latest record is bittersweet and some of their finest work to date. Although the statement was tongue-in-cheek, he wasn’t far off.

Black Midi | Rough Trade
English experimental rock band Black Midi excel on Hellfire, their highly anticipated third studio album. The band push the boundaries, moving between genres, with cabaret, country, and show tune influences. Although it takes a little while to digest, Hellfire is extremely well paced and exhilarating throughout. It’s exciting to see where this young band go next.
