Little Rope is the eleventh studio album by American rock band Sleater-Kinney. The Washingtonian veterans bare their soul on their latest record, beautifully expressing the emotional turmoil experienced by Carrie Brownstein in the lead up to the release. A record symbolic of grief and pain, the tone continuously shifts, from catchy to chaotic, with bittersweet storytelling across each of the 10 liberating tracks.

Nailah Hunter | Fat Possum
American singer and harpist Nailah Hunter introduces Lovegaze, her intoxicating debut album. Mystical folk and ambient-inspired, the Manhattan-born artist has produced music for the likes of NIKE and Apple, but she has firmly established a musical identity on Lovegaze. Richly textured and full of detail, Hunter presents dreamy and hypnotic music, that can seem unsettling at times, but ultimately offer an alluring space to lose yourself in.

LA based pop-punk band yungatita introduce Shoelace & A Knot, their debut album. Lead Valentina Zapata said the process behind the album was “very healing”, projecting trauma from her difficult childhood into her music. Strong impactful lyricism, with powerful guitar riffs and brooding vocals, the record is high energy, full of tension, but reflective and diverse. Fun and fast paced rhythms, with bouncy melodies and catchy hooks, it’s the perfect blend of musical styles.

Frat Mouse
On their fourth studio album, Los Angeles-based emo trio Frat Mouse surpass expectation on the pulsating Flea house. The San Fernando Valley teenagers 90s nostalgia and raw production signify the start of act II, following their trilogy of albums. With a blend of emo and shoegaze vibes, the bands energy and desire is apparent. Talking inspiration they said “pretty much all of our sound and creativity stems from our shared commitment to the music and to each other”.
