One Man Band

Miles Kane | Modern Sky UK

English musician Miles Kane introduces One Man Band, his fifth studio album. Working on the album, Kane described the recording sessions as a "family affair”, working alongside cousin and The Coral's frontman, James Skelly. Zippy indie rock, with big hooks and anthems, there’s a clear influence from The Strokes and The Libertines. One Man Band is slick, exhilarating and a return to his roots. With plenty of singalong moments, it’s a return to his best.

Chrome Dreams

Neil Young | Reprise

Awakened from the vault, Chrome Dreams is the 44th album by Neil Young. First compiled as an acetate in 1977, it's been widely circulated as a bootleg. Recordings appeared in various studio, or live, albums over the years, but despite that, this collection of dynamic tracks make us realise how good Young’s storytelling is. Having spent the last decade releasing old material, fans will be happy to hear these tracks together at last, in all their glory.

Sundial

Noname | Label

Released to universal acclaim, Sundial is the second album from American artist Noname. Despite being more outspoken than her previous work on Room 25, this album still feels fairly simplistic. With minimalistic beats and sharp lyricism, her first record in five years is solid, featuring guest appearances from hip-hop royalty in Jay Electronica and Common. With jazz instrumentals, refined production and strong subject matter, everything feels well executed.

People Like Me & You

The Sherlocks | TeddyBoy Records

Indie rockers The Sherlocks are back with a bang on their fourth studio album. The South Yorkshire quartet introduce People Like Me & You, their most expansive record yet. Speaking about the making the album, Lead Vocalist Kiaran Crook said: “We went in there with ideas as opposed to fully fledged songs and I believe that’s where the magic lies.” With an established live reputation on the back of sold-out shows, it’s clear they've forged their own path.
