Kasabian | Sony
After a five year hiatus, British rockers Kasabian return for their ferocious seventh studio album. The futuristic rock 'n' roll sound The Alchemist's Euphoria brings is highly entertaining and with the recent changes the band have had to make, Kasabian have cleverly reconfigured their sound. Panda Bear & Sonic Boom | Domino Recording Co
Reset marks American musician Panda Bear & British producer Sonic Boom’s first collaborative release. The duo's fascination with old favourites is clear. With sampled loops taken from the intros of various 1950s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll songs, Lennox and Kember link effortlessly, sharing vocals throughout the album. Fresh, uplifting, whilst wonderfully bridging the gap between old and new music, Reset is a triumph.

Toronto based Kiwi Jr. bring us Chopper, their third studio album. Despite leading with synths, the Canadian indie rock band stay true to their original sound, whilst trying to push it to new limits. With sharp wit and sarcasm, refreshing new melodies and dazzling guitar hooks, they absolutely haven’t lost their edge. Chopper is certainly a record the band can build on and will very likely enlist the unconverted.

Boris | Relapse Records
Japanese heavy metal music band Boris return for their mind blowing twenty-eighth studio album. Along with its predecessors of the same title, the band's love of 1970s hard rock is clear on Heavy Rocks, as their unsettling, frantic, but somewhat poetic sound is for all to see. If you’re unaware of their sound, their latest release will likely shred your ears. After three decades, Boris are still as innovative, diverse and multi-layered as ever.
